Energy Saving
How Does Radfan Save Energy?
Radfan uses fans to push the warm air from the radiator out into the room. It also turns the warm air through 90 degrees and so slightly projects it out into the room at radiator top height rather than fill the room with warm air from the ceiling down. This means you feel warmer quicker, allowing you to turn the thermostat temperature down.
The amount of energy saved will vary from property to property but independent tests carried out by the Salford University Energy House and also field trials with 9 Housing Associations in 99 homes found combined total Energy savings per annum of 2595 kWh.
By the end of this year price of gas is expected to reach 13per kW for gas (which drives gas boilers) so customers could save over £300.
